Tennis Champion of Champions 2022

One hundred and twenty individuals and fifty-three doubles teams took part in the Champ of Champs Tennis Tournament. The tournament was played over four days at Scarbro Tennis Centre with students competing in junior, intermediate and senior doubles and singles matches. Epsom Girls Grammar do double, qualify for Nationals

This week, eight schools took part in the Gillette Venus Qualifier Tournament for the Auckland region. The tournament started with two Pools – Pool A: Baradene, Epsom Girls, Mt Albert and Westlake Girls; and Pool B: Diocesan, Takapuna Grammar, St Cuthbert’s and Saint Kentigern. COVID-19 Updates

Monday 14 March 2022 The COVID-19 Minister made an announcement on Friday 25 February regarding school sport and vaccination requirements. At that time the Government indicated that they intended to change the Health Order to allow all students to participate in school sport regardless of their vaccination status. Sport New Zealand have issued new secondary school sport and recreation guidelines. Ultimate Senior Indoor Championships

Over two weekends in Term 2 Ultimate Frisbee teams took to the courts at Bruce Pulman Arena, the Open Division playing on 20th June and the Girls Division playing on the 4th July. With no wind, the indoor version of the sport allows athletes to use their full arsenal of throws. The College Sport Auckland Squash Team Championships were held last week over two days at the National Squash Centre and North Shore Squash Club, with 22 teams participating. The Division 1 Boys final was battled out between Mt Albert Grammar School and Auckland Grammar School, with Mt Albert winning the final match to retain the title.
