Auckland and Takapuna retain Squash titles

Auckland Grammar and Takapuna Grammar retained their Division 1 Boys and Girls Squash Team titles. In the Girls Section Takapuna Grammar defeated Westlake Girls in the final, four matches to one and in the Boys Section Auckland Grammar defeated Takapuna Grammar in a thrilling tie, three matches to two. Individual Squash Champs 

The Individual Squash Championships were held at the National Squash Centre with just under ninety students competing from nineteen schools. The championships were held over two days with the Boys section having seven divisions and the Girls section five divisions.  Division 1 Girls was won by Justine Pausch from Takapuna Grammar School with Matilda Lowe from Rangitoto College the runner-up.  In the Boys Division 1 final Noah Thomas from Auckland Grammar and Riley McCracken from Mount Albert Grammar played a five-set thriller with Noah prevailing. The College Sport Auckland Squash Team Championships were held last week over two days at the National Squash Centre and North Shore Squash Club, with 22 teams participating. The Division 1 Boys final was battled out between Mt Albert Grammar School and Auckland Grammar School, with Mt Albert winning the final match to retain the title.
