Yachting Teams Racing | 2024 Auckland Team Racing Cup

The waters around Royal Akarana Yacht Club (RAYC) in Orakei were alive with the exhilarating sights and sounds of competitive yachting from Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd March. The prestigious Auckland Cup, open to teams from both North and South of the bridge within the Auckland region, drew in 16 schools and 21 teams (over 130 athletes!) for three days of full-on races. On Friday 15th April, we hosted the Softball Senior ODT at Rosedale Park. The event saw 12 boys teams and 8 girls teams in action. Westlake Boys High School claimed victory in the boys’ league, with Pukekohe High School securing silver. In the girls’ competition, One Tree Hill College emerged as the champions, with Rosehill College finishing as the runners-up. Volleyball Championships

The College Sport Auckland Volleyball Championships were held at the Bruce Pulman Arena in Takanini on the 13 -15 March Congratulations to winners Rangitoto College in both the boys and girls division. This is largest event College Sport Auckland undertakes featuring 117 teams and 60 schools in both the boyā€™s and girlā€™s sections. On Tuesday 20th February the 2024 College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships were held at Maraetai Beach in partnership with Auckland Tri Club and Frankly Done Events. 92 individuals and 20 teams lined up on the start line and tackled a swim, bike and run of various distances before proudly crossing the finish line.
