The College Sport Auckland Volleyball Championships were held at the Bruce Pulman Arena in Takanini on the 15 -17 March Congratulations to winners Rangitoto College in the boys division and Orewa College in the girls division. This is largest event College Sport Auckland undertakes featuring 108 teams and 60 schools in both the boy’s and girl’s sections. Double Volleyball Gold for Rangitoto College

The Junior Volleyball Champs were held over three days at Bruce Pulman Arena involving eighty four teams from forty six  schools. Rangitoto College took out both the boys and  girls titles, the boys defeating Manurewa and the girls defeating Mangere College in their respective finals. Volleyball Senior Championship 2022

The Volleyball Auckland Champs were held at Bruce Pulman Park, Takanini over 3 days last week under strict guidelines to keep within the Government’s limits at indoor venues.  We had 47 schools; 40 Girls team and 38 Boys teams from all over Auckland. Congratulations to Rangitoto College Girls taking the trophy for the 2nd year in a row. Orewa College took out the boys division first time since 2018, well done to all teams. Rangitoto Premier Boys win Volleyball Nationals

The Rangitoto College Premier Boys Volleyball team won the New Zealand Secondary School Championships for the first time in their history during Summer Tournament Week in Palmerston North. The team beat Western Heights in the semi final 3-0 and Trident College in the final 3-1. Ethan Skelton was named MVP. This victory completed an amazing season in which they won the North Harbour Senior Super League, the College Sport Auckland Premier Season and the College Sport Auckland Championships. Two Westlake volleyballers preparing for test series against Australia

College Sport Media: Westlake Girls’ High School defended their NZSS Senior Girls Volleyball crown earlier this year. Following that success, two of their students, Tam Otene and Kaila Ru have been selected to represent the Senior New Zealand Women’s team. The year 13 Westlake GHS pair will join their New Zealand teammates for the three-match international series against Australia on 5-7 June in Lower Hutt, Porirua and Wellington. National secondary school volleyball title for Westlake Girls

Stuff: Westlake Girls’ High School are the national secondary school girls volleyball champions after winning the national tournament at the Arena in Palmerston North last week. Westlake beat Otumoetai College, of Tauranga, 3-1 in the girls’ final on Friday afternoon. The two sides were level 1-all after the first two sets, but Westlake won the next two to seal the win. Volleyballers put Aorere College on the map at nationals

Manukau Courier: Aorere College and De La Salle College left their mark on the New Zealand secondary school volleyball championships in Palmerston North earlier this month. Aorere, led by captain Mary Masoe, came fourth in the premier girls’ while De La Salle, led by Bernardo Tonumaipe’a, came fifth in premier boys.
