Junior Softball

Seventeen teams attended the Junior Softball One Day Tournament at Rosedale Park, Albany recently. Slow pitch softball provides opportunities for developing players

A new format of softball was introduced this week in the Central Zone Division 2 Girls competition. With rules suited to allowing everyone to have a hit, fielders being a lot more active, short games of 30 minutes and easy self-umpiring, this proves to be a fun format for developing players. The College Sport Auckland Senior Softball One Day Tournament was held yesterday at Rosedale Park. Three Mt Albert Grammar School teams made the finals, with Mt Albert girls playing against One Tree Hill College and their Blue and Gold teams battling for the boys title.
