On Friday 20th of September we held our Futsal Girls Festival in partnership with Northern Region Football (NRF). Festivals are designed to introduce new participants to the game and breed an environment to create a lifelong relationship with the sport. We had max capacity of 24 teams across 18 schools and it was a great day to start our first event of Futsal at College Sport for 2024. Our Senior Ki O Rahi Championships took place on the 18th of September at Bert Henam Park. We saw 17 teams in our senior mixed grade and 6 teams new to the sport in our novice grade. The weather was undecided with what it wanted to do for the day, rain in one round then sunshine in the next. Regardless this did not stop some great competition and close games. On Thursday 29th August 2024, we saw another spectacular night of Hockey finals to wrap up the girl’s hockey season. The A1 Greater Auckland Hockey final kicked off the finals matches at LEP. The game was contested between Mahurangi College and St Cuthbert’s College. This was a tightly contested match, but St Cuthbert’s managed to score early and hold on for most of the game.
