On Sunday, March 24th, the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna were alive with the energy and excitement of the Dragon Boat Championships for 2024. This year’s event brought together six schools from across Auckland, showcasing their spirit of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Hockey sticks do job for dragon boaters

NZ Herald: Using hockey sticks instead of paddles is not your conventional way to train for a dragon boating competition. But that was the case for the St Dominic’s College paddlers, who only had four sessions on the water before they raced towards the podium in the recent College Sport Auckland Dragon Boat Championships.
