Archery Matchplay Championship

One hundred and six students took part in the Archery Match Play Championships held at the Auckland Archery Club on 2nd April. This event concluded school archery for term 1. The medal matches were fantastic with some high-level shooting with several archers now heading to Australia to represent NZ in the Trans-Tasman Archery Competition. Dragon Boating, Orienteering and Rock Climbing Events

Water Polo Finals

Sacred Heart College defeated Westlake Boys High School 9-2 in the Premier Boys gold medal match with St Cuthbert’s defeating Diocesan 8-6 in the Premier Girls final.  Baradene College and Auckland Grammar claimed the bronze medals in their respective Premier matches. The Senior A Girls Grade was won by Diocesan with St Mary’s claiming the silver and St Cuthbert’s the bronze.  In the Senior A Boys Sacred Heart won the gold, Kristin the silver and Mt Albert Grammar the bronze.

Takapuna Grammar and Kings Win T20 Cricket Titles

For the first time both the Girls and Boys T20 finals were held at Melville Park on the same day. Auckland Volleyball Champs

The College Sport Auckland Volleyball Championships were held at the Bruce Pulman Arena in Takanini on the 15 -17 March Congratulations to winners Rangitoto College in the boys division and Orewa College in the girls division. This is largest event College Sport Auckland undertakes featuring 108 teams and 60 schools in both the boy’s and girl’s sections. Aquathon Championships 2023

A sunny day welcomed over 220 students from 23 Schools to Saint Kentigern College for the Aquathon Championships. Athletes competed in their respective age groups of Juniors Intermediates and Seniors as individuals or part of a team.  This year saw sixty-two compete. Tennis Championships Decided

It was a busy week for secondary school tennis players with the Champ of Champs Tournament and the A1 and A2 finals being played at the Scarbro Tennis Centre. Lawn Bowls Pairs Championships

Fifty-two teams from eleven schools entered the Auckland Cup Secondary School Pairs held at the Mt Eden Bowing Club. The event was organised by Auckland Bowls where lunch was provided in a friendly and fun environment for participants.  Three greens were in use throughout the day with teams playing five, forty-minute rounds. The competition was won by the pairing from Kings College with Kelston Boys High School claiming second.
