Ritorya Tamilo from Baradene College of the Sacred Heart won the Young Sportswoman of the Year for Basketball and Jacob Avery from Sacred Heart College winning the Young Sportsman of the Year for Rowing at the Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards. Tag Junior Championships

On the 29th of November, we held our Junior Tag Champs at Cox Bay Reserve. We had 8 Boy’s and Girl’s teams participate. The Zone Days held earlier in the month determined what teams would make it through to the championship. In the Girls Final we had a very close game between Aorere and Westlake Girls where it ended up going to a drop off to find the winner and Aorere came out on top. Seventeen teams attended the Junior Softball One Day Tournament at Rosedale Park, Albany recently. Orienteering at Eden Park

On Wednesday 13th September, Eden Park and Counties Manukau Orienteering delivered the first ever urban adventure race through our National Stadium. Known as Orienteering Sprint Racing, students sped about the stadium using a map to navigate their path from checkpoint to checkpoint (called ā€œcontrolsā€) around a predefined course. Distance Running Series Concludes with Road Race The College Sport Distance Running series concluded with the Road Race Championships at Bruce Pulman Park, Takanini on Tuesday 15th August. Duathlon Championships

A new venue at Ambury Park welcomed over 140 students from 24 Schools to compete in the Duathlon Championships. This year thirty-four teams and eighty individuals competed in their respective age groups of Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors. A special thanks to Lynley Twyman the Event Manager and her team of volunteers, Auckland City Tri Club, Event Medic and Safety and all the marshals that made this event possible.
