Athletics Central East & West

On the 5ht of March we held the second of our Athletics Zone at Mount Smart We had a great turn out of over 700 participants across 40+ schools making it our biggest Zone. Triathlon

On Tuesday 20th February the 2024 College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships were held at Maraetai Beach in partnership with Auckland Tri Club and Frankly Done Events. 92 individuals and 20 teams lined up on the start line and tackled a swim, bike and run of various distances before proudly crossing the finish line. Waka Ama Senior Regatta

On the 2nd of March we held our annual Waka Ama Senior Regatta at Ian Shaw Park. This was the first time that the Senior Regatta moved to Ian Shaw Park. We had over 60 races and 120 teams compete, this meant for a busy day on the water. Rowing Regatta

Young Sports Person of the Year Awards 2023

Ritorya Tamilo from Baradene College of the Sacred Heart won the Young Sportswoman of the Year for Basketball and Jacob Avery from Sacred Heart College winning the Young Sportsman of the Year for Rowing at the Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards. The event was held at Eden Park with just over six hundred people in attendance. The Awards have been held since 1991 to celebrate the outstanding sporting achievements of Auckland secondary school students. Tag Junior Championships

On the 29th of November, we held our Junior Tag Champs at Cox Bay Reserve. We had 8 Boy’s and Girl’s teams participate. The Zone Days held earlier in the month determined what teams would make it through to the championship. In the Girls Final we had a very close game between Aorere and Westlake Girls where it ended up going to a drop off to find the winner and Aorere came out on top. The Volleyball Junior Championships were held over 3 days, from the 15-17 November at Bruce Pulman Arena in Takanini. There were 96 teams from all over Auckland that competed for the Auckland Junior title. Junior Softball

Seventeen teams attended the Junior Softball One Day Tournament at Rosedale Park, Albany recently.
