College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships Results

This year’s College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships saw a field of over 200 participants compete in their respective teams and individual events. The event was held at Point England Reserve for the second consecutive year with students competing in the U19, U16, U14 age groups in pleasant conditions for the swim, bike and run. Cody Dalton & Terri Warner win Senior Aquathon Championships

This year’s College Sport Auckland Aquathon Championships saw the largest individual field since 2015, with 145 participants competing on the swim and run course at Saint Kentigern College. 51 teams also competed and for the first time, were running a new run course along the waterfront. The Junior section was the first event of the day, with students swimming 400m followed by a 4km run. The Intermediates had a 500m swim and a 4km run and the Seniors concluded the day with a 750m swim followed by a 6km run.…

Pilot Tag Football Season underway at Otahuhu College

The first ever College Sport Auckland Tag Football Season commenced yesterday for the South East Zone at Otahuhu College fields. This is a product of the continual growth in the zone tournaments over the last few years and is being piloted by College Sport Auckland and New Zealand Tag Football (NZTFI) with a restricted number of eight girls and eight boys teams. Slow pitch softball provides opportunities for developing players

A new format of softball was introduced this week in the Central Zone Division 2 Girls competition. With rules suited to allowing everyone to have a hit, fielders being a lot more active, short games of 30 minutes and easy self-umpiring, this proves to be a fun format for developing players. Māori Secondary Schoolgirls & Schoolboys Cricket teams named

Maia Lewis and Duncan Murray, respectively, will coach the girls and boys Māori Secondary Schools sides to play Governor General’s XIs at Wellington’s Karori Park later this month. Lewis, a former White Ferns captain who played nine Tests and 78 ODIs for New Zealand (and current Relationship Manager at College Sport Auckland), will coach what will be the inaugural Māori Secondary Schoolgirl’s team; the boys side having been launched last summer. Waiuku College gym opens its doors again

OurAuckland: After 16 months of work, Waiuku College’s refurbished gymnasium is open. That’s great news for the school’s 900-odd students and the Waiuku public, who used the gymnasium regularly outside school hours before it was closed to repair leaky building problems.
