Student Spotlight: Elyse Tse
Today’s featured student has shown outstanding commitment to tennis, despite several set backs over the past year. Year 12 Baradene College student Elyse Tse struggled with a back injury last year, which meant she missed out on representing New Zealand on the international stage. This year’s College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships saw a field of over 200 participants compete in their respective teams and individual events. This year’s College Sport Auckland Aquathon Championships saw the largest individual field since 2015, with 145 participants competing on the swim and run course at Saint Kentigern College. 51 teams also competed and for the first time, were running a new run course along the waterfront. The first ever College Sport Auckland Tag Football Season commenced yesterday for the South East Zone at Otahuhu College fields. This is a product of the continual growth in the zone tournaments over the last few years and is being piloted by College Sport Auckland and New Zealand Tag Football (NZTFI) with a restricted number of eight girls and eight boys teams.
