Auckland Cricket: Auckland’s Secondary Schoolgirls’ finals ended up with Baradene College and Epsom Girls’ Grammar School splitting victories – Baradene took out the College Sport Auckland Premier Season while EGGS won the Gillette Venus Regional title. Stuff: Westlake Girls’ High School are the national secondary school girls volleyball champions after winning the national tournament at the Arena in Palmerston North last week. Westlake beat Otumoetai College, of Tauranga, 3-1 in the girls’ final on Friday afternoon. The two sides were level 1-all after the first two sets, but Westlake won the next two to seal the win.
