James was the captain of the Saint Kentigern College Premier team who won the College Sport Auckland Premier season. He is the Senior Boys Singles and Doubles champion from the College Sport Auckland Champion of Champions. James is the Doubles champion at J4 Darwin ITF with a career highlight of beating a professionally ranked player. His team also won the New Zealand Team Championships.
