Open Girls teams were Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu & Takapuna Grammar, both teams had good wins in their respective semifinals, at the halfway point the scored was tied until Takapuna had a convincing 2nd halfway and taking the match by 46-24. Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu is now eligible for playoffs in 2023 for the Senior A grade – Good luck to both teams.
Open Boys teams were Selwyn College & Kelston Boys High, in the semifinals Selwyn College had a one-point win against Orewa College and Kelston Boys had a 9-point win against Pakuranga, both semifinal results looked like this game could be close one. At the start of the 4th quarter Kelston Boys were ahead by 4 points, Selwyn, then came back and leveled the scores halfway through the 4th quarter, Kelston Boys then managed to edge ahead and at the final whistle won the match 47-42. Both teams are now eligible for playoffs in 2023 for the Senior A grade – Good luck to both teams.
