The first ever College Sport Auckland Tag Football Season commenced yesterday for the South East Zone at Otahuhu College fields. This is a product of the continual growth in the zone tournaments over the last few years and is being piloted by College Sport Auckland and New Zealand Tag Football (NZTFI) with a restricted number of eight girls and eight boys teams. Slow pitch softball provides opportunities for developing players
A new format of softball was introduced this week in the Central Zone Division 2 Girls competition. With rules suited to allowing everyone to have a hit, fielders being a lot more active, short games of 30 minutes and easy self-umpiring, this proves to be a fun format for developing players.
