Schick Qualifiers tip-off around the country today

The Basketball New Zealand Schick Premierships have tipped off today around the country, as secondary school teams compete for qualification at the ‘AA’ and ‘A’ Schick Championships, to be held 1-6 October at the Central Energy Trusts Arena. The ‘A’ tournament is for schools that have a roll of less than 600 pupils for co-ed schools or less than 300 for single sex schools. At just 16, golfer Jimmy Zheng fires 60 around Palmerston North GC

Stuff: Auckland teenager Jimmy Zheng sensed it might be his day when he made eagle on the par-four 10th hole at Palmerston North Golf Club. It turned into the round of a lifetime for the 16-year-old Macleans College student who signed for a mind-boggling 12-under-par 60 at the New Zealand Secondary Schools finals on Monday.
