Pukekohe High School wins opening game in college 1st XV competition

Pukekohe High School and Alfriston College opened the first round of the Rainbow’s End Counties Manukau and Waikato Secondary School 1st XV College competition.

Both teams came out attacking, but it was Pukekohe High School who took their opportunities in a 39-26 win at Alfriston College.

Pukekohe High School winger Patrick Butters opened the scoring with a penalty kick. Winger Bayley Tucker then finished off an impressive period of attacking play to score one of the two tries he scored in the match.

Their team was also lead well throughout the game by promising first-five Caleb Hill.
