Penelope won all 3 of her College Sport Auckland Senior Girls races in Term 1. At the NZSS Championships she finished 2nd in the Senior Girls Sprint, 1st Senior Girls Long and 1st Senior Girls Relay. She also won the Sprint W20 Elite at the New Zealand Orienteering Championships. She was selected to the Open New Zealand World Orienteering team, U21 Junior New Zealand World Orienteering team and the NZSS Orienteering team.
