Graham is an expert coach, leading 1st XV rugby, grade rugby, and volleyball teams to winning National titles. His coaching started at Mahurangi College with the 1st XI boys football team from 1984 – 1985. He then moved to Glenfield College from 1986 – 1995 where he looked after rugby 15s and 7s. John has been an advocate for Pukekohe High School teams, Counties Manukau Hockey, Midlands, and Auckland Supercity since 1999.
