The Westlake Boys High School 1st and 2nd XI hockey teams concluded their respective Auckland Competitions in winning style.
First the Westlake Boys 2Xl defeated Mt Albert 1XI 2 – 0 in the Greater Auckland final. The team were unbeaten in the Greater Auckland Competition only conceding 1 goal. A week later the Westlake Boys 1st XI won the Greater Auckland Premier Boys Competition defeating Auckland Grammar 1st XI in the final 5 – 1. Westlake were undefeated in the regulation season winning 13 games and drawing 1.
All teams now turn their attention to their respective national hockey tournaments during Winter Tournament week.
