➢ planning and overseeing the strategic and operational direction of sport to foster both participation and high achievement,
➢ responsibility for a significant budget,

➢ liaising with a wide range of sporting organisations and
➢ building and maintaining supportive relationships with local businesses and community groups.
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant within the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement Grade 6 with a salary range between $95,400.00 and $101,0000 per annum, inclusive of 6 weeks of annual leave, a vehicle, fuel card, laptop, and phone.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to enhance players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness.
- Create a positive and motivating team environment that fosters growth, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
- Provide individualised coaching and mentoring to players, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement. Strategise game plans, presses and formations.
- Implement tactical decisions during matches to maximise team performance and achieve positive results.
- Collaborate with pathway coaches (to develop and execute a successful programme)
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in hockey coaching through continuous learning and professional development.
- Extensive experience coaching hockey at a high level, preferably with premier or professional teams. Strong knowledge of the game, including tactical strategies, training methodologies, and player development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively motivate and inspire players. Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and adapt strategies during intense game situations.
- Proven track record of success in developing players and achieving positive team results. Possession of relevant coaching certifications and qualifications.
SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL COACH
Hobsonville Point Secondary School is seeking a suitably qualified/experienced coach to lead our Senior Boys Volleyball team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of growing and developing our volleyball programme for the future. The successful candidate will need to have coaching experience with high-school aged players and be passionate about all aspects of volleyball.
Key responsibilities:
● Attend and select at school Senior volleyball trials (Term 3/4).
● Plan a pre-season programme for our wider Senior volleyball squad (Super League and Harbour League players).
● Plan and run 2 Senior Boys (S/L) trainings a week, with a focus on ensuring all sessions adhere to our sports department philosophy and integrate the five key values of our programme.
● Attend all regular season games as part of Harbour Senior Super League, as well as attend tournaments throughout the season as required and agreed with the Director of Sport/Staff Sport Champion. This includes Nationals, where we competed in C grade in 2024. We are aiming to improve on this in 2025.
● Provide guidance and help run sessions within the wider volleyball programme
throughout the year.
● Communicate effectively with players, whānau and the HPSS Sports staff.
The successful candidate will be police vetted and preference is given to holders of a full drivers licence. Remuneration will be discussed based on experience and qualifications. Applicants need to be ready to start in Term 4 preferably.

HEAD COACH ROLES:
Rangitoto College are now calling for applications for:
- 1st XV rugby team
- Girls Premier Rugby team
The school is seeking applicants who are passionate about school rugby and growth of the players. You must be a well organised, a community minded leader with the ability to create a team culture that runs across the team and brings out the best in its players and the school.
The ideal candidate must be able to lead and direct a team based on a game plan that suits the player base and competition. In addition, you must be a person who strives for the development of players and is committed to coaching the team to do the same.
Holding a level 2 coaching certificate or higher is preferable but not essential.
