We had our Premier and Senior A Basketball Finals on Friday 23rd August at Eventfinda Stadium.
The day started off with a very close and exciting game, with Carmel taking the win over Auckland Girls in the last 5 minutes of the game. Final score: 70-75
The following game was Dilworth vs Rangitoto, where Dilworth took the victory. Rangitoto put up a good fight and never game up until the last hooter. Final score: 73-92
For our Premier grade, we kicked off with the girls with Manurewa playing Northcote. Manurewa, who were promoted into the grade from Senior A took the win over Northcote. Final score: 60-85
Lastly, our Premier boys final was between Auckland Boys Grammar and Rosmini College. Both have won the title many times, and with the stadium being packed out and crowds from both sides roaring, we were in for a good game. Auckland Grammar won convinsingly in the end. Final score: 55-91
