New Zealand Water Polo have announced the New Zealand Secondary Schoolboys and Schoolgirls teams, who will compete in the 37th edition of the Secondary Schools test series against Australia. The Schoolboys and Schoolgirls test series has been held annually since 1982, hosted alternatively in New Zealand and Australia. This year the teams will be hosted by Australia in Ballina, New South Wales, from 12-19 December. MAGS claim first NZSS Co-Ed Swimming Title
The Mt Albert Grammar School Swim Team have won the NZ Secondary Schools Co-Ed Swimming Championships for the first time in the school’s history. The event, which ran from September 12-15 at Waterworld in Hamilton, attracted 733 swimmers from 160 secondary schools. MAGS Swimming Captain Vasilina Shipilova led the 21-strong team to this inaugural victory in her final year at MAGS with strong personal performances including two bronze medals, 10 Top 8 placings and was a member of the gold medal-winning girls relay team.
