Road Running Championships 2019

The College Sport Auckland Road Running Championships were held on Tuesday at Pulman Park. 273 students from 37 schools across Auckland competed in the Junior (U14), Intermediate (U16) and Senior (U19) races. Buzzer beater wins semi-final for Long Bay College

The College Sport Auckland Basketball Championship Semi-Finals were held on Friday 16 August at Eventfinda Stadium. In the Senior A Boys grade, Long Bay College had an incredible finish to win their semi-final against Northcote College by just one point. Northcote was the top qualifier for the semi-final with Long Bay fourth. Both teams had beaten each other in their two previous meetings going into the semi-final. Taufa claims top prize at Rugby League awards

Auckland Rugby League: Players, coaches, managers and match officials from the 2019 College Sport Auckland Rugby League Season were recognised on Monday afternoon at an awards ceremony held at Mount Smart Stadium. St Paul’s College playmaker Michael Angelo Taufa was the big winner, picking up the Premier 1st XIII Player of the Year award after helping his school to the title last Friday. Auckland Rugby League: St Paul’s College claimed their fifth SAS College Rugby League title on Friday night, with a commanding 28-6 victory over previously unbeaten Southern Cross Campus at Mount Smart Stadium. Hard work continues for Howick College Pathway to Podium Netballers

College Sport Media: Two current and one recent Howick College netballers were recently named in the Pathway to Podium programme. Current students Leehava Saverio and Nanise Waqaira and recent school leaver Teuila Sotutu were part of the Howick College Netball team that won their maiden NZSS netball crown in 2017. Squash Auckland: The four-year winning streak of Westlake Boys High came to an end at the NZ Secondary School Squash Championships in Tauranga over the weekend, as is was another Auckland school – Mt Albert Grammar taking out title for 2019 after defeating Tauranga Boys College in the final three matches to one. Auckland Rugby League: After both picking up two competition points in the final round of the regular season last week, Southern Cross Campus and St Paul’s College have secured direct entry to Friday night’s College Sport Auckland Premier Rugby League Final. Rosmini High School student Taine Murray named in Tall Blacks squad

NZ Herald: Tall Blacks coach Paul Henare has made a surprise selection in his 14-man squad, naming schoolboy guard Taine Murray.
