Pukekohe High School wins opening game in college 1st XV competition

AucklandNOW: Pukekohe High School and Alfriston College opened the first round of the Rainbow’s End Counties Manukau and Waikato Secondary School 1st XV College competition. Both teams came out attacking, but it was Pukekohe High School who took their opportunities in a 39-26 win at Alfriston College. Pukekohe High School winger Patrick Butters opened the scoring with a penalty kick. Winger Bayley Tucker then finished off an impressive period of attacking play to score one of the two tries he scored in the match. High Five on the World Stage

College Sport Media: National First XI football champions Sacred Heart College could claim to be the fifth best team in the World. The Auckland powerhouse recently finished fifth at the International School Sport Federation World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic. Sacred Heart was the first New Zealand team selected to participate in the tourney which featured 36 teams, 24 counties and 640 players.
