Senior School Netball Coaches for our Year 7-13 Senior School teams:

From April to September coaches are required to attend weekly after school trainings, with games on weeknights or Saturday mornings (depending on the team coached). The time commitment for each team coached will amount to approximately 4 hours per week. Preference will be given to applicants with a current coaching qualification, relevant netball coaching experience and a passion for the game. Coaching workshops will be provided free to Diocesan School for Girls Coaches commencing with the Community Coaching Award Level 1 facilitated by Auckland Netball Centre. Coaches must be willing to complete this award prior to the season, which commences in May 2020.

With a large number of students playing from Years 7 – 13, Netball is a high participatory sport of choice at Diocesan School for Girls. It is our aim for students to reach maximum potential at local and regional levels as well as continuing to maintain high levels of participation in forthcoming years.

The School also provides generous support, resources and very competitive terms and conditions to encourage coaches to reach their highest professional standards. Coaches will enjoy the use of excellent facilities and become involved in the Diocesan Netball culture. Trials will commence in February 2020, and appointed coaches are welcome to attend.
