Pilot Tag Football Season underway at Otahuhu College

The first ever College Sport Auckland Tag Football Season commenced yesterday for the South East Zone at Otahuhu College fields. This is a product of the continual growth in the zone tournaments over the last few years and is being piloted by College Sport Auckland and New Zealand Tag Football (NZTFI) with a restricted number of eight girls and eight boys teams.

In hot conditions, the season started off with quality organisation and referees thanks to NZTFI and some fiercely competitive games. This 5-week competition allows all teams to play two games a night, with the finals being played on the Wednesday 11th March. On completion of this pilot there may be opportunity to grow this competition and extend to another Auckland zones in the future.
