College Sport Auckland with Olympic Weightlifting New Zealand (OWNZ) will be hosting the first College Sport Auckland Weightlifting Championships in Term 2 this year. This event will be participation focused, with an emphasis on encouraging involvement from those new to the sport. It will offer students the opportunity to represent their schools and gain competition experience, which in turn may lead to participation in the New Zealand Secondary School Championships in September, or other major OWNZ events.
