Sunday 28 February Update: Following the government announcement that Auckland moved to Alert Level 3 at 6.00am this morning, all College Sport Auckland competitions are currently on hold until at least Saturday 6 March. Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to change the date of our upcoming Ultimate Senior Outdoor Championships. This event will now take place on Saturday 20th March at Pulman Park. Our Kilikiti Tournament has been postponed due to a number of schools withdrawing from the original tournament date. The new date for our Kilikiti Tournament will be Monday 8 March, venue TBC. 85th Head of the Harbour Regatta Success

On Saturday 13 February, we held the 85th College Sport Auckland Head of the Harbour Rowing Regatta at Lake Pupuke with 940 students participating – an increase of nearly 90 students from the previous year. This year’s regatta was run very efficiently by the Auckland Rowing Association officials and Takapuna Grammar School Rowing Club on the water. Due to the lockdown affecting several school athletics days, and the close proximity to the NZ Track & Field Championships, the Counties Manukau Zone Athletics Meet has been moved from Wednesday 3 March to Thursday 18 March. The event will still be held at Massey Park, Papakura. Entries will now close on Wednesday 10 March, but any duty requests must be submitted by Wednesday 3 March.

NZSS Māori Cricket teams set for Te Whanganui-a-Tara double-headers

There will be a whanau-like feel to this year’s Māori Secondary Schoolgirls and Schoolboys teams with 12 returning players, as well as two sets of siblings, ready to take on the Governor General’s XI’s next week. Two sisters from Rosehill College have been selected for the girls’ team – Kiri and Dale Anderson.
