Year 12 Rangitoto College student Jaden Movold has always loved competing in sports, but it wasn’t until a year ago that he found a new passion in wheelchair racing. During lockdown, Jaden got up at 12.30am to be a part of a virtual Boston Marathon through Zoom with World and Paralympic Wheelchair Racing champions from all over the world. Update on Winter Sport Seasons
Yesterday the government eased the restrictions on gatherings to allow for up to 100 people to gather, effective Friday. This is good news as it will allow sports teams to train together, and to play each other, when they are ready to do so. National Sporting Organisations and Sport New Zealand are currently revising their guidance documents and they should be available in the next few days.
