Rodney Times: After countless hours of training and shooting hoops, dreams have come true for two teens from Hibiscus Coast. Thomas Morgan, 14, and Cian Emery, 15, have made the Basketball New Zealand under 16s teams after many years of hard work and training. High-achieving student earns Japanese university scholarship
Eastern Courier: Pakuranga College Year 12 student Kazuma Nakano has recently been admitted to the University of Tokyo on a full scholarship. The teenager is “honestly privileged” about receiving the scholarship because it’s awarded to up to 10 students worldwide, and will cover the admission fee, tuition, and living expenses for up to four consecutive years. “Getting admitted to the University of Tokyo is a challenge on it’s own, so I wasn’t expecting it,” Kazuma says.
