Sideline Behaviour On Campbell Live

If you are reading this you are probably one of the thousands of volunteers who are the backbone of childrens organised sport in New Zealand. Without the commitment of you and many of these volunteers, childrens sport would simply cease to exist

However, both internationally and in New Zealand, concerns are commonly expressed about the sideline behaviour of parents and coaches at childrens sporting events. As a consequence, and to address some of these concerns, a Sideline Behaviour Group was formed. The group is comprised of representatives from Regional Sporting Organisations (Auckland Rugby, Harbour Rugby, Northern Football Federation, Auckland Football Federation, Netball North, Netball Auckland Waitakere), Regional Sports Trusts (Sport Waitakere, Sport North Harbour, Sport Auckland), College Sport, the Greater Auckland Coaching Unit, Unitec, and AUT University.

A key aim of the group is to promote coaching and sideline behaviours which will ultimately enhance the experiences of all children participating in organised sport.
